Road Trip Traveler, LLC is seeking individuals who have seriously considered the responsibility
and who recognize the value of customer service required to be a successful travel agent.
Although you would not be a direct affiliate with Road Trip Traveler, LLC and would be working under your own business
name, it is important that, in exchange for utilizing our industry connections, you maintain the utmost integrity and dedication
to the profession. In exchange for your valued service, you would be entitled
to discount travel specials and preferred travel agent rates at practically any location in the world. Familiarity (FAM) trips are offered to travel agents on a regular basis at deep discounts to popular vacation
destinations and agent rates are offered at most hotels (subject to blackout dates) and through most cruise lines (subject
to strict availability). Training sessions and conferences are often held in
exotic destinations and can double as unbelievably affordable vacations. Many
training sessions can also be completed on-line or often are scheduled at convenient regional meeting facilities, many free
of charge or for a nominal fee.

Your Commitment to Your Clients
As a travel agent, you will be accepting responsibility for the happiness of your
client. It is not a decision to take lightly.
You may be planning once in a lifetime events, such as honeymoons, land-mark anniversaries or special occasions, etc. Each client is as important as the next and each client is looking to you to assure
that their vacation or event is everything they dreamed of. You should be willing
to be available all hours via home phone or cell phone at any time you have a client traveling. This is not a 9 to 5 job. Your client’s successful vacation,
complete with excellent customer service, the security of knowing that you are there for them at any time, and that no question
or request is too small, will assure repeat business and referrals and lead to your financial success as a travel agent.

Your Personal Commitment
In addition to your commitment to your customers, you must also be willing to invest
financially in the growth of your business. Becoming a successful travel agent
does not happen overnight and not without some investment towards your future. The
investment can begin small, basically with business cards, flyers, inexpensive advertising, internet hosting, and telephone
service capable of providing a legitimate and professional front for your agency.
All of this is upon suggestion, of course, and you are free to run your agency as you wish.
The largest commitment to beginning your new career as a travel agent is your time. You will be required to spend countless hours reading, researching, training, and
asking questions to become acquainted with the industry; learning how you can maximize your time and efforts in planning a
vacation; and strategizing to run your business to its fullest capabilities. Fortunately,
this is something that is flexible and can be scheduled at your own pace and on your own clock. The excitement of a new career and gaining new knowledge does make what sounds to be a daunting undertaking
a very enjoyable and exciting venture if this is the career that is meant for you.
